We’re seeking a Security Guard - Full Time to work as a member of our security team from 9:30 am - 6 pm Monday thru Friday when scheduled, and rotating Saturday's, once a month generally. You’ll be surrounded by a team dedicated to changing the way personal property is sold, bought, and moved across the country and across the world–and we have a lot of fun while we’re doing it! Discover everything uncommon at EBTH.COM. As a security Officer, you will have to demonstrate excellent surveillance and emergency response skills. You will need a strong commitment to security rules and knowledge of all hazards and threats to safety. The goal is to create and preserve an environment where team members, visitors and property are safe and well-protected. Responsibilities Assume overall responsibility for the safety and security of the assigned facilityMonitor and authorize entrance of vehicles and persons on company propertyPatrol designated areas in accordance with outlined security proceduresComplete daily Activity LogIdentify potential security risks and respond accordinglyComplete incident reports and required documentation for all security incidentsEnsure all employees and visitors have proper credentials for accessing buildings (ID badges and passes)Render First Aid and/or contact 911 when medical emergencies occurRespond to emergencies and incidents within designated areas promptly and according to policyAssist employees and visitors with any concerns they might haveEscalate emergency situations to law enforcement as neededMonitor alarms and security camerasRegular communication with the Security Manager and others across the company as neededAssist with facilities related duties, responsibilities and projects as well as anything else that may be needed throughout the warehouseOther duties as assigned Requirements Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsOutstanding organizational and leadership skillsAbility to work independently with minimal to no supervision and as a member of a teamCommitted, self-motivated, and reliable, with reliable transportationHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED)Must be at least 21 years oldMust pass a FBI/BCI background checkAbility to obtain a valid OPOTC 20-Hour Basic Handgun Course (training cost covered by EBTH)Ability to remain calm, professional, and respond quickly in stressful situationsProficient written and oral communication skillsComfortable kneeling, carrying, bending, walking, climbing, and standing for extended periods of timeAbility to perform continuous physical exertion as neededWorking knowledge of basic security techniquesCustomer service skillsAbility to work Saturday’s as scheduled (not all weekends) WORKING CONDITIONS: Extended period of standing/walking Extended viewing of CCTV Ability to lift or carry up to 50 lbs Other Duties: Please note that this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the team member for this job.
