Security Guard

About the role

As a Clinic Safety Liaison (Security Guard) you will monitor persons and/or vehicles entering or leaving the clinic property, ensure a safe environment, communicate concerns to supervisors, perform light maintenance and environmental services duties, and conduct routine safety inspections of clinic monitoring devices.

Responsibilities

• Assists, directs and monitors all persons entering and leaving the clinic property, including emergency vehicles and personnel
• Interacts with staff and patients in a professional manner at all times
• Monitors parking area (at minimum twice per hour) and lobby to ensure no loitering or misconduct, reporting concerns to director immediately
• Keeps accurate notes and reports within various systems as outlined by clinic standards
• Communicates regarding incoming admissions, visits and deliveries to appropriate staff
• Performs light maintenance duties and repairs, including touch‑up painting, emptying and picking up trash, changing light bulbs, cleaning spills and various repairs
• Performs regular safety checks, including smoke detectors, locked doors, alarm systems, etc.
• May perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, preferred
• Two years’ experience in security, corrections, or military is preferred
• Experience working in a healthcare or patient/customer‑facing setting preferred
• Must be comfortable working in an opioid treatment program/recovery environment

Pay

$18.87 – $22.41 per hour (hourly range for the role in Massachusetts)

Schedule

Full‑time hours: Sunday 5:30 AM‑10:30 AM; Monday 5:30 AM‑11:30 AM; Tuesday 8:00 AM‑4:00 PM; Wednesday‑Friday 5:30 AM‑11:30 AM
