Security Guard

Responsibilities

• Mans the guard house during scheduled shift, observing and reporting any unsafe or unusual activity to ensure the safety of the property, employees, and guests.
• Understands and implements emergency response activities as required.
• Keeps an accurate log of anyone who enters or exits the property without a parking pass.
• Signs in guests, notifies reception or the employee host of their arrival, and provides excellent customer service and direction.
• Reports any incidents and contacts the proper authorities when required.
• Explains safety precautions as applicable; performs health and safety tasks such as taking temperatures and collecting health safety information.
• Accepts mail and other deliveries, routing them to the appropriate employee(s).
• Walks through the facility at the beginning and/or end of shift as assigned.
• Opens or closes the facility according to current operating hours; sets the main property gate and locks or unlocks facility doors.
• Completes basic administrative support tasks as assigned.
• Operates surveillance and badge security systems as needed.
• Recognizes and participates in the Quality Management System (QMS) processes and procedures in place at Battle Motors.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Adheres to the Battle Motors Environmental Health and Safety Program by following all safety rules, procedures, practices, training, and safe use of equipment, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Works in a manner that emphasizes preventing injury, accidents, or illnesses to themselves or co-workers by correcting or reporting unsafe situations, incidents, or occurrences to their Supervisor immediately.

This position has both full-time and part-time openings.
