About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government corrections location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to situations with professionalism, and provide clear communication and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions requiring attention.
  • Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorization as required, and document visitor, vehicle, and/or contractor activity in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following applicable post orders and escalation procedures.
  • Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity documentation, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have an armed guard card or license (preferred).
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Pass a background investigation and drug screen.
