About the role
As a Security Guard Access Control in Madison, WI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a financial institution location, you will monitor entry points, manage visitor access, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a financial services location.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor entry procedures, and maintain accurate access-related records in accordance with site policies.
- Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through appropriate channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of designated business areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
- Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding access issues, incidents, and shift activity.
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
