Security Guard (3rd shift) - Temporary Assignment

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Ensure that only authorized individuals and vehicles enter the facility.
• Log information as required for facility entry and deliveries.
• Communicate company guidelines to contractors and document agreement to comply.
• Remain alert and focused at all times while on post.
• Diligently monitor surroundings for abnormal situations and take action, as needed.
• Enforce procedures to prevent theft of company and/or personal property.
• Enforce parking lot safety rules.
• Respond calmly, promptly, and effectively to plant emergencies.
• Follow company security guidelines.
• Manage phone systems.
• Maintain housekeeping and 6S standards.
• Identify quality issues and attain established productivity standards.
• Understand and adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Perform related responsibilities as required or directed.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Absolutely must be able to stand for long periods of time, squat, bend, twist and turn as needed to perform the job.
• Absolutely must be able to climb ladders and stairs multiple times throughout the shift.
• Absolutely must be able to communicate effectively both written and verbally.
• Absolutely must be able to wear required safety equipment.
