About the role

Allied Universal® offers a flexible, part-time enhanced security position designed for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career. As a Security Flex Officer Part Time Hospital in Brevard, NC, this role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

This role requires a six-month commitment to a designated site and weekly shift (anchor shifts). Through the Claim-A-Shift program, you can pick up extra shifts to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites, allowing you to work part-time one week and full-time the next—up to 40 hours per week—with the option to scale back as needed.

Pay

$17.85 per hour

Schedule

DayTime, Friday: 12:00 AM - 07:00 AM

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter.
  • Working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Requirements

  • Must be willing to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Must be willing to work in and around a hospital morgue.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
  • At least six months of security-related experience.
  • A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
  • At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
