Security Flex Officer - Logistics Facility

About the role

Allied Universal® is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site in Irving, TX, with the flexibility to earn additional income by picking up extra shifts. This position offers a six‑month commitment to a designated “anchor shift” while allowing you to work part‑time one week and full‑time the next, scaling up to 40 hours per week or scaling back as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and problem‑solving, following established procedures and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of logistics and distribution facilities, including interior spaces, loading areas, parking areas, trailer yards, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor or driver activity in accordance with site‑specific procedures to deter unauthorized entry and support orderly operations.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and other security‑related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy (required for driving positions).
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a background investigation in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screening as required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply based on state or local regulations.

Pay

$17.00 per hour.

Schedule

Daytime shift: Sunday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM. Fixed‑shift “anchor” assignment with the ability to pick up extra shifts through the scheduling platform.
