Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant information with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including hallways, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas, helping to identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, helping to support authorized entry procedures and directing individuals to the appropriate department or location when needed.
- Aid in de-escalation support and follow post orders for healthcare environments, helping to address disruptive behavior, unattended items, and/or other site-specific concerns with professionalism and respect.
Minimum Requirements
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
- Vaccinations required for a hospital environment are required.
- Ability to work in and around a hospital morgue is required.
- Ability to restrain individuals in a hospital setting is required.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
