Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to all visitors, staff, and contractors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and security-related policies at a chemical and petrochemical location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details to site leadership and/or emergency contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, operational areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and document deliveries, contractors, and other authorized activity according to post orders.
- Complete detailed activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff notes, and communicate relevant observations regarding security-related concerns, equipment issues, and/or policy violations.
Minimum Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
