About the Role

This position is a part-time, enhanced Security Officer role based in Cross Junction, VA. It is designed for individuals seeking a flexible, dependable option to supplement income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career. You will be assigned to a designated site with a fixed weekly shift ("Anchor Shift"), with the ability to pick up additional shifts via the Claim-A-Shift Program to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites.

Job Schedule

• Pay Rate: $18.72 / Hour
• Daytime shift: Monday 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and manage access at entry points by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and vendor information, and communicating entry requirements.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential community entrances, common areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate logs, reports, and shift communications related to access activity, incidents, and security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
