Security Engineer - Operational Technology
About the role
The Cyber Prevention Engineer in Operational Technology Security is responsible for ensuring the cybersecurity of manufacturing environments. They develop, implement, and maintain standards, procedures, and controls to prevent cyber incidents across hardware, firmware, software, and enterprise systems.
Responsibilities
- Establishing standards for new equipment
- Conducting risk assessments
- Creating training materials
- Managing policies and auditing
- Implementing access controls
- Researching industry benchmarks to recommend improvements
- Supporting the integration of secure equipment into operational networks
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Networking, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science. 0-2 years of experience with machine control networks or industrial control systems (ICS), with a basic understanding of communication networks and cybersecurity fundamentals. Knowledge of industrial cybersecurity, strong communication skills, and business acumen in technical environments.
Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and continuous improvement mindset. Willingness to support occasional travel, flexible work hours, and possible weekend or holiday work.
