About the Opportunity:The SECURITY ENGINEER - NETWORK EDGE SECURITY role is dedicated to strengthening the security posture of the organization's network edge. This position involves building tools and systems that provide insights into API security risks and managing responses to emerging threats. The role directly contributes to protecting the integrity of incoming traffic and ensuring the security of downstream products and services. Responsibilities:Respond to and mitigate emerging threats using WAF rules, bot detection vendors, and CDN-native technologiesDevelop infrastructure to enhance visibility into network edge security postureBuild and maintain near-real-time streaming analytics pipelines and applicationsContribute to labeling and machine learning model developmentManage system builds, deployments, and production monitoringAdapt to multiple programming languages including Java, Kotlin, Python, TypeScript, and PySparkEvaluate and integrate vendor security systems alongside in-house solutionsImplement AI-driven methods to detect and mitigate abusive traffic patterns Requirements:Minimum 5 years of software or security engineering experience with scalable production systemsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experienceProficient in Java, Kotlin, TypeScript, and PythonSkilled in data analysis using SQL and SparkExperience with CDN platforms (Cloudflare, Fastly) and AWS environmentsFamiliarity with Snowflake, Databricks, and Datadog is advantageous Pay Range and Compensation Package:Zone A: $217,800 to $326,800 USDZone B: $207,000 to $310,400 USDZone C: $196,100 to $294,100 USDZone D: $185,200 to $277,800 USD Equal Opportunity Statement: Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
