Security Engineer II, Amazon Stores Security Healthcare
Evaluate vulnerability reports, security alerts, and customer issues
Work alongside our Detection and Monitoring team to triage, understand, and improve security alerts
Perform risk assessments and identify security vulnerabilities in workflows
Advise engineering teams and stakeholders on security best practices including network security, identity management, and secure system configurations
Collaborate with product development teams to integrate security solutions and controls
Support security incident investigations related to infrastructure
Participate in an on-call rotation and provide ad hoc support to customers during non-business hours
Drive security automation efforts including monitoring, triage, and alerting for key security risks
The HealthSec team is dedicated to protecting sensitive healthcare data and ensuring patient privacy across Amazon's healthcare services. We build and maintain security controls that safeguard protected health information while enabling innovation in healthcare technology.
Alexa, Echo, and Kindle are some of the products that rely on our security expertise to keep customers safe and secure.

Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of programming in Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++ or similar object oriented language experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS and TCP/IP
- Experience applying threat modeling or other risk identification techniques or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of any combination of the following: threat modeling experience, secure coding, identity management and authentication, software development, cryptography, system administration and network security experience
- Experience with AWS products and services
- Experience or understanding of HIPAA regulations
