About the role
First Community Credit Union is looking for a Security Engineer I, based out of our Copperfield headquarters in Northwest Houston.
Responsibilities
- Leading information security strategies.
- Maintaining, designing, and implementing firewalls, IPS, and web application security infrastructure.
- Supporting multi-site core network components.
- Administering data security products and techniques for detecting, reporting, and investigating incidents, including setting up, configuring, securing, and maintaining network firewalls, detection systems, cloud services, DLP, etc.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
- 3‑5 years of similar or related experience.
- Industry‑recognized certifications (Network+, Security+, PCNSA, PCNSE; CISSP is a plus).
Qualifications
Experience with Palo Alto is desired.
Skills
- Firewall management (design, implementation, maintenance).
- IPS deployment and maintenance.
- Web application security.
- Data loss prevention (DLP) administration.
- Cloud security services.
- Network firewalls and detection systems configuration and monitoring.
