Security Engineer

About the role

A leading Japanese IT solutions provider is seeking a Bilingual Security Engineer to join its Professional Services team in New York. This position supports cybersecurity initiatives for enterprise clients, including security assessments, implementation, operations, troubleshooting, and technical consulting. Candidates ranging from junior-to-mid level engineers to experienced security professionals will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security assessments for enterprise clients
• Design, implement, and support cybersecurity solutions
• Build, maintain, and support security technologies including EDR, SASE, endpoint security, log analysis, and vulnerability management
• Troubleshoot and resolve security-related issues
• Support customer projects and security implementations
• Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams
• Perform product research and evaluate emerging security technologies
• Create technical documentation, operational manuals, and project reports
• Provide technical recommendations and security best practices to clients

Requirements

• Experience in Cybersecurity, Network Security, Systems Engineering, or IT Infrastructure
• Experience supporting Windows Server and/or Linux environments
• Understanding of networking and cybersecurity concepts
• Business-level Japanese and English communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SASE, EDR, SIEM, Vulnerability Management, or Endpoint Security
• Microsoft Security, Azure Security, or IAM experience
• Experience with Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or other enterprise security solutions
• MSSP/MSP experience
• Security assessment, governance, compliance, or risk management experience
• Knowledge of CIS Benchmark, NIST, or industry security frameworks
• Cybersecurity certifications are a plus

Pay

USD 70,000 - 130,000+
