Security Dispatch Supervisor - Security (Days)

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises subordinate staff
• Assigns and delegates work projects
• Schedules employees to ensure proper staffing levels are maintained
• Evaluates work performance, coaches, mentors, and implements corrective action for performance and conduct issues
• Conducts data management and analysis to support department performance improvement

Requirements

• Two years of related experience
• Working knowledge of specialized practices, equipment, and procedures
• Bachelor's degree and one year of supervisory experience preferred
• Four years of dispatch experience required if no supervisory experience
• One year of dispatch or related experience in a high call volume setting preferred
• Must be able to type 40 words per minute
• Excellent customer service and communication skills required
• Distinct speaking voice that is clear and easily understood
• Able to think quickly and clearly under stressful situations
• Capable of reacting logically to unusual situations
• Ability to work at a fast pace and make swift decisions
• Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with a wide variety of hospital personnel, patients, and outside callers
• Multi-tasking and working with frequent interruptions
• Maintain a collaborative, team relationship with peers and colleagues
• Communicate ideas effectively
• Shares information and keeps others properly informed
• Gives and is open to useful feedback
• Actively contributes to the development and application of process improvements
• Detail information gathering and writing skills
• Excellent spelling and grammar
• Ability to work shift work that includes weekends, holidays, and extended shifts
