About the role
The Minnesota Sex Offender Program (MSOP) and Forensic Mental Health Program (FMHP) at the St. Peter campus are seeking dependable and enthusiastic individuals to join our agency as Security Counselors or Forensic Support Specialists.
Responsibilities
- Provide informal counseling
- Implement treatment plans
- Observe and document client behavior
- Encourage client participation in program activities
- Provide security and verbal and/or physical crisis intervention
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 18 years of age
- One or more years of full-time work experience in any field
- Two or more years of part-time work experience in any field
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher in a related field of study, such as Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice, Psychology, Sociology, or other
- Experience working in a secured facility monitoring and counseling a similar client and patient population as the Minnesota Sex Offender Program or Forensic Mental Health Program
