Security Consulting Engineer (Remote)

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Security Consulting Engineer (Remote) to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space. This role will focus on delivering advanced security consulting services to enterprise customers in complex cloud and on-prem environments. The person in this role will lead technical engagements, shape secure architectures, and help clients deploy, validate, and operationalize security solutions that improve resilience and business continuity. You will work closely with customer stakeholders and internal engineering teams to troubleshoot issues, evaluate design options, and ensure successful outcomes across the full engagement lifecycle.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Lead and report on security services engagements with key customers
• Deliver security solutions independently and through a team of engineers
• Design, document, validate, pilot, deploy, and automate security solutions
• Provide continuous support to help customers maximize value from deployed solutions
• Offer deep technical expertise on security technologies and communicate architectural context
• Evaluate and present alternative designs to influence outcomes effectively
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical and security issues for customers

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, IT consulting, and systems integration with large enterprises
• Expertise in enterprise firewall deployments in cloud and on-prem environments
• Proficient in VPN technologies and secure client products
• Experience with secure internet access and SASE solutions
• Solid knowledge of identity and access control technologies, with hands-on experience preferred
• Ability to deliver automation artifacts using common frameworks and APIs
• Strong understanding of secure design principles and TCP/IP protocols

Pay

$132,800 – $185,100 annually
