Position Summary
The Security Compliance Specialist supports cybersecurity compliance efforts across Industrial IoT (IIoT), Microsoft Azure cloud environments, corporate IT systems, and Ubuntu/Linux servers. This role works with IT, engineering, operations, and security teams to help ensure systems meet company security standards and industry compliance requirements.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Monitor and support compliance with security policies and standards.
- Aid with security assessments and internal audits.
- Track and help with remediating security findings and vulnerabilities.
- Maintain compliance documentation and audit evidence.
- Support security initiatives in Azure cloud environments.
- Review Azure security configurations and compliance reports.
- Affiliate with implementation and monitoring of Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel, and Azure Policy.
- Support security compliance efforts for IIoT devices, industrial networks, and operational technology (OT) systems.
- Review Windows and Ubuntu Linux systems for compliance with security baselines.
- Cohort with IT, engineering, and operations teams to address security gaps.
- Develop compliance metrics and management reports.
Key Competencies & Skills
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, or IEC 62443.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure security and governance tools.
- Familiarity with Windows and Ubuntu Linux administration.
- Understanding of networking, identity management, and vulnerability management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience working with both cloud and on-premises environments.
- Understanding of industrial cybersecurity and operational technology security concepts.
Education And Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5 years of experience in cybersecurity, compliance, or information security.
- Potential Preferred Experience:
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or IIoT environments.
- Experience with vulnerability management tools such as Tenable, Qualys, or Rapid7.
- Azure security certifications (AZ-500, SC-200, SC-300).
- Security+, CISSP, CISA, GICSP, or IEC 62443 certifications.
