About the role
Grant Street Group is seeking a highly skilled Security & Compliance Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of robust security solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Own and resolve complex security issues in AWS environments.
- Develop and maintain security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Manage and optimize logging, monitoring, and security data environments using appropriate tools.
- Handle vulnerability findings and security alerts, prioritizing tasks and coordinating with other teams to ensure timely remediation.
- Identify inefficiencies in existing security processes and implement improvements independently.
- Work collaboratively with engineering, infrastructure, and operations teams to address security challenges and align on solutions.
- Assist in the training and mentoring of junior members of the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, including experience with AWS services.
- Proven ability to analyze security issues and develop effective solutions.
- Experience managing large-scale logging, monitoring, and security data environments.
- Strong understanding of security best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- CISSP certification preferred.
- Experience with security automation tools such as Splunk, ELK Stack, or similar.
- Knowledge of common security protocols and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO).
- Experience with incident response and threat hunting.
