About the role

US Concerts is seeking a Security team member to guard, patrol, and/or monitor venue premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules. This role may involve operating metal detector equipment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and security of guests, crew members, and assets.
• Conduct regular patrols of the building.
• Respond to all security and safety-related calls in a timely manner.
• Exhibit exemplary conduct and appearance while on duty.
• Comply with all department performance, conduct, and attendance standards.
• Perform a variety of duties, often shifting tasks without loss of efficiency or composure.
• Follow legal and ethical instructions from Security Supervisors and the Manager of Security.
• Adhere to Security department policies and procedures.
• Investigate and compile accurate incident reports.
• Complete assigned tasks within guidelines and deadlines set by supervisors.
• Interact courteously and professionally with guests, vendors, and crew members.
• Circulate among guests and employees to preserve safety, order, and venue property.
• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, guests, and others to prevent theft and maintain security.
• Write reports of daily activities and irregularities (e.g., equipment/property damage, theft, unauthorized persons, unusual occurrences).
• Patrol premises to detect signs of intrusion and secure doors, windows, and gates.
• Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent prohibited items from entering restricted areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Texas Guard Card (Security training will be provided and paid for by Live Nation).
• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work late hours.
• Flexible schedule.
• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Tolerance of all cultures, music, and art forms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Security or law enforcement experience.
• Understanding of the rule of law and relevant penal codes.
• Knowledge of security operations, safety practices, and enforcement procedures.
• Ability to represent the Security Department professionally.
• Strong memory and quick information retrieval.
• Ability to interact calmly with angry or emotional patrons and employees during high-stress situations.
• Professional demeanor, independent judgment, and decision-making within policy guidelines.
• Acute sense of judgment, tact, and diplomacy.
• Strong teamwork and execution skills.

Physical Demands

• Fast-paced, often loud, and stressful working environment.
• Ability to perform effectively in crises and under pressure without losing composure.
• Must be able to lift or move up to 50+ lbs using proper lifting techniques.
