About The Job

• Provide above-excellent customer service.
• Demonstrate above-average computer skills; multiple applications are used daily.
• Provide information and assistance to calling parties concerning emergency, security, and general assistance needs.
• Follow procedures in dispatching personnel for emergency and non-emergency response.
• Uphold compliance with regulatory procedures and policies.
• Monitor CCTV systems using recording devices; perform daily checks on cameras for functionality and report maintenance needs.
• Monitor, operate, test, and perform data entry for computerized and electronic equipment used in access control, fire, and security systems.
• Create and maintain reports and files; assist in updating reports, records, and files.
• Multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Follow site-specific post guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must pass a criminal background check with no felony convictions and no misdemeanor convictions for criminal sexual conduct, theft, assault, illegal substances, multiple alcohol-related offenses, or crimes of moral turpitude.
• Must pass a drug test at the time of hire and annually thereafter.
• Must present a friendly, positive, professional image, adhering to the Appearance and Grooming policy.
• Must possess excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must be able to read and write in English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating procedures, and reports.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Driving Qualifications

• Must have a clean driving record with fewer than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
• Must have fewer than 2 at-fault accidents in the last 3 years.
• No major violations in the last 3 years.

Physical Requirements

• Must be physically and mentally sound.
• Able to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Able to reach with hands and arms and hold objects.
• Able to sit, stand, or walk for 8-12 hour shifts, including walking long distances and possibly up and down stairs.
• Must be readily able to respond to emergency situations.
• Able to work indoors or outdoors during all seasons.
• Able to hear conversations (in person or via 2-way radio) in noisy environments.
• Able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Law enforcement, military, and veterans are encouraged to apply.

Pay

$17 to $19 per hour

Schedule

• Local Academy: 1 Part-Time position, Monday–Wednesday 0700–1530, and Thursday–Friday 0700–1530.
• Local State Government Building: 1 Part-Time position, Wednesday 1100–1930, Thursday–Friday 0900–1730.
