Security Assistant
About the role
This position serves as the initial security point of contact for MultiCare hospitals and clinics in areas where higher level security officers are not deployed. It is a non‑clinical role assigned to the security department, responsible for conducting initial security assessments of people entering the hospital and serving as a professional security presence. Duties include greeting patients and visitors, performing initial security assessments, determining the business reason for entry, and providing courteous assistance and directions. The role is entry‑level, requiring excellent customer service skills, high visibility, discretion, good judgment, a pleasant and professional manner, and clear articulation, with both internal and external contacts.

Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Customer service experience preferred
- Security experience preferred but not required

Pay
The pay scale is $18.94 – $27.26 USD. Pay is influenced by factors such as skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education; if the position is union‑covered, pay will reflect the appropriate step on the scale based on years of experience.
Schedule
FTE: 1.0; Shift: Day; Schedule: 8‑hour shift.
