Security Assistant/Analyst

What You'll Do

• Ensure classified documents are properly received, marked, and stored in accordance with Navy and Department of Defense regulations
• Create out-going visit requests within the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) or current program
• Process in-coming visit requests and confirm clearance and access level for visitors to SPS within the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) or current program
• Process badge requests for new employees and visitors
• Provide access for employees, visitors, contractors, etc. within SPF spaces
• Conduct briefings to newly appointed or transferred/terminated personnel and to those requiring foreign travel briefings
• Conduct inventories and destruction
• Ensure effective personnel, physical, industrial, and information security programs are established and maintained
• Provide liaison support for SPF Detachments and SPF Command
• Aid with other administrative support efforts as required by the technical director/manager

What You Bring to the Table

• Experience: 3+ years of administrative and security experience
• Credential: Must have and maintain an active DoD security clearance at the SECRET level
• Skills: Knowledge of Communications Security (COMSEC), proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of tools, strong interpersonal skills, ability to liaise with department heads, technical managers and senior leadership, utilize automated computer systems and software, such as a spreadsheet/database program, to create, update, revise, sort, reformat, and/or manipulate data, familiarity with DoD/DON security policies and procedures, skill to apply fact finding and investigative techniques to measure and improve program effectiveness and/or organizational productivity, demonstrate a willingness to work in a team environment with little direction, and the ability to work independently while prioritizing and supporting multiple tasks, excellent organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
