About the role
Allied Universal® is seeking an Assistant Account Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for assisting the Account Manager with various aspects of the security contract execution at the assigned location.
Responsibilities
- Assists with coordinating all aspects of the security contract, including technical and managerial functions.
- Assigns work tasks to Security Professionals and directs their work throughout the day.
- Serves as the first direct supervisory contact for shift supervisors or Security Professionals regarding performance, operations, and department needs.
- Supervises, motivates, coaches, and trains Security Professionals.
- Maintains and updates Post Order manuals and other post and training information.
- Conducts interviews and evaluates new employees, providing on-the-job training as needed.
- Manages and supervises all sub-units within the Security Department, such as fire control rooms and loading docks.
- Generates work orders and paperwork for extra security coverage requests.
- Responds to minor incidents and ensures appropriate action is taken.
- Identifies and addresses personnel problems and forwards them to the appropriate supervisor.
- Makes recommendations for counseling and/or disciplinary action, including termination.
- Communicates with clients and maintains positive relationships through regular contact and support.
- Occasionally performs Security Professional duties as needed, but does not exceed 50% of time in any given workweek.
Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum three (3) – five (5) years of professional-level experience in the security industry, law enforcement, or military.
- Prior experience in the security industry, law enforcement, and/or military is required.
- A valid state Guard License, or application for one, must be submitted and approved prior to employment.
- Valid driver’s license with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record, and appropriate insurance.
- Energetic and focused personality with the ability to take initiative, handle multiple assignments, and manage deadlines.
- Strong customer service orientation, ability to resolve client issues professionally, and de-escalate situations.
- Professional, articulate communication skills and the ability to train and coach others.
- Available to work outside normal shift schedules and accessible by phone or pager 24/7 for emergency response.
