Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, volunteers, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an animal care location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts, supervisors, and/or local authorities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Maintain readiness for an armed post by following Allied Universal protocols, handling assigned equipment responsibly, and reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations promptly.

Requirements

• Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Have 1+ years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
