About the Role

We're building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI, and the Security Team plays a critical role in protecting the most valuable and targeted artifacts in technology: model weights. As a member of this team, you'll own the attack surface unique to frontier compute, design reference architectures, and ensure the security of training and inference environments.

Responsibilities

  • Own the attack surface unique to frontier compute, including model weights custody, training environment isolation, accelerator and interconnect security, and multi-tenant boundaries under real adversarial pressure.
  • Design reference architectures and standards for security engineering, maintaining a clean seam between design and build to enable both sides to move fast.
  • Treat the workload as part of the threat model, architecting environments that remain defensible even when the running workload is adversarial.
  • Conduct security design reviews for systems touching training and inference environments, from bare metal and fabric to scheduler and storage.
  • Stay ahead of frontier compute trends (new accelerators, interconnect generations, confidential computing, agentic workloads) and develop architectures before they land.

Qualifications

  • Experience securing AI, ML, or HPC infrastructure with high-value assets, such as lab infrastructure, supercomputing centers, or research environments that drew nation-state attention.
  • Expertise in architecting isolation across layers: hardware, firmware, hypervisor, kernel, container, network fabric, and physical.
  • Understanding of AI compute infrastructure as a system, including accelerators, high-speed interconnects, parallel storage, and schedulers, with knowledge of where each component breaks classical security assumptions.
  • Original work in systems or ML security, either published or shipped, with the ability to turn research into actionable architecture for engineers.
  • Ability to defend design decisions based on merits and adapt when presented with compelling counterarguments.

Skills

  • Bonus: Depth in confidential computing and attestation, weights custody or cryptographic key custody at scale, and a publication record in systems or ML security.

Pay

Compensation Range: $275K - $344K
