Security and Threat Operations Engineer
About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Security and Threat Operations Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space. This role will focus on strengthening security visibility, threat detection, and incident response across cloud-native environments. You will partner closely with engineering and security stakeholders to build effective monitoring, triage, and remediation workflows that improve the organization’s security posture. The position also involves analyzing web, API, and infrastructure telemetry to identify suspicious activity, while leveraging automation and AI to improve the speed and quality of security operations. In addition, you will help develop tooling and processes that support more efficient investigations and vulnerability management.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Responsibilities
- Build and tune detections and monitoring workflows across various environments
- Analyze traffic patterns to identify malicious and anomalous activities
- Utilize AI for triage and analysis to enhance operational efficiency
- Manage vulnerability findings and coordinate remediation efforts
- Develop tooling to improve security investigations and operations
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in information security, threat detection, or incident response in cloud-native environments
- Expertise in analyzing web, API, and infrastructure telemetry for suspicious activities
- Skilled in Python programming for automation and security operations tools
- Experience building detections in SIEM or similar platforms, with a focus on observability
- Familiarity with cloud security findings from platforms like Wiz
Pay
$110,000 – $130,000 annually
