Security and Emergency Services Officer

About the role

The Grandview by Erickson Senior Living is opening a new community in Bethesda, MD, and is seeking a Security and Emergency Services Officer I or II (with EMT preferred upon hire or course completion within 60 days).

Responsibilities

• Implement Security and Emergency Services programs and provide outreach within the community.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of residents and staff through regular patrols, responding to emergency and routine calls for service, enforcing traffic and parking regulations, and responding to medical emergencies.
• Follow up on reports of missing items, theft, vandalism, and other potential criminal activity.
• Utilize local police, fire, and EMS during emergencies.
• Complete thorough and detailed incident reports using the online report system.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Prior experience in Security and/or Emergency Medical Services is preferred.
• Proactive, vigilant, and detail-oriented approaches with a strong commitment to quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
• Current CPR for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Current Emergency Medical Responder or Emergency Medical Technician certification.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must be able to pass a drug test.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of local laws and regulations.

Pay

$21.00 - $27.00/hourly, commensurate with experience.
