Security Analyst L1

About the role

BIRGER. covers 9 territories in the Indian Ocean Islands (IOI) and East Africa. Our 3 core services, Technology-Security-Resiliency, leverage on our cumulated know-how and experience gained since 1953. We are recruiting Security Analyst L1 who will be based in Mauritius. The ideal candidates should have a real interest in working in Technology.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security events and escalate accordingly.
• Implement and manage security tools.
• Troubleshoot and respond to requests in an accurate and timely manner.
• Prepare regular Cyber Security reports.
• Monitor real time security events for client environments.
• Investigate, troubleshoot and determine the root cause of incidents.
• Escalate the issue to correct contacts.
• Implement and manage Cyber Security solutions.
• Proactively research and monitor security information to identify potential threats that may impact the organisation.
• Create and Deliver Reports.

Requirements

• Able to work on shift schedule, 24x7x365 coverage, including holidays and weekends.
• Available to travel overseas for implementation of projects.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information and Communication Technology or any related field.

Skills

• Knowledge of Network Infrastructures.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP.
• Knowledge of different operating systems (such as Windows, Unix and Linux).
• Customer centric.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written (English and French) communication skills.
• Positive attitude.
• Taking Ownership and Responsibility.

Professional Certification

• Comptia Network+, Comptia Security+, CEH / Incident Handling certifications or equivalent will be an advantage.
