Security Analyst I
About the role
Join CorVel’s Information Security team and support key security, risk, and compliance functions. This entry-level role contributes to protecting company data, supporting audit activities, and providing assurance to customers and partners.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Aid with third-party risk management, including vendor security assessments and documentation review
- Support responses to customer security questionnaires and requests for assurance materials
- Aid in preparation and coordination for SOC, HITRUST, and other regulatory or customer audits
- Manage and prioritize the information security ticket queue
- Help collect, organize, and track audit evidence and security artifacts
- Perform basic risk and control analysis under supervision
- Support ongoing security and compliance initiatives as needed
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with vendor risk management or audit support processes (preferred)
- Relevant certifications such as Security+ or equivalent are a plus (preferred)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Basic understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, SOC, or HITRUST (preferred)
Education & Experience
- College degree
- 1 to 3 years of experience in information security, IT, or related field
Pay Range
CorVel uses a market-based approach to pay and our salary ranges may vary depending on your location. Pay rates are established taking into account the following factors: federal, state, and local minimum wage requirements, the geographic location differential, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, internal employee equity, and market conditions. Our ranges may be modified at any time.
