Security Analyst

Job Summary

Administer and manage security tools including CrowdStrike, Tenable, and Zscaler. Perform IT security risk assessments; develop, recommend, and implement remediation strategies. Conduct research on vendor offerings and execute proof of concepts for new security technologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new technologies and resolve security issues.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage security tools including CrowdStrike, Tenable, and Zscaler
• Perform IT security risk assessments; develop, recommend, and implement remediation strategies
• Conduct research on vendor offerings and execute proof of concepts for new security technologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new technologies and resolve security issues
• Monitor and maintain asset inventory, including the status of installed agents and devices
• Review vulnerability dashboards; assess the impact of evolving threat landscapes
• Track data inventories and policy violations; generate security-related reports and metrics
• Develop and author IT security and compliance policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines
• Monitor and process security incident response queues
• Manage and adjust endpoint firewall operations as necessary
• Work independently and as part of a team to support the agency's IT Security Program
• Utilize strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Requirements

• 5+ years of IT security experience
• 5+ years of CrowdStrike administration
• 5+ years of Tenable administration

Qualifications

• Desired: CISSP or equivalent certification
