Security Ambassador - Unarmed

Who We Are Looking For

The Rooftop is seeking unarmed Security/Ambassadors to maintain safety, flow, and guest experience. This role monitors the rooftop elevator and assists with managing occupancy.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• Maintain rooftop elevator traffic at 8 guests or fewer
• Track and communicate rooftop occupancy updates
• Greet and engage with guests professionally
• Notify MOD when guests request stairs or stairs are in use
• Maintain a visible presence near the elevator/stairs
• Collaborate with staff to manage guest flow and wait times
• Assist with guest crowd control as needed
• Adhere to safety protocols and local occupancy guidelines

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous hospitality, security, or related experience preferred

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English
• Ability to learn and perform job functions accurately and safely

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Guest counting software, apps, or manual clicker
• Frequent standing, reaching, handling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
• Pushing, pulling, lifting up to 30 lbs
• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• High guest interaction, varying conditions and circumstances
• Fast-paced, high volume, team-oriented environment
• Outside with some covered areas in variable weather conditions

What We Have To Offer

• Location: 19 Vendue Range, Charleston, SC 29401
• Hourly Pay: $18.00 per hour part-time
• Sign-on bonus: $250 after 3 months, $250 after 6 months
