SECURITY ALARM INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN - Technician I

About the role

Install residential and light commercial security systems, including alarm systems, surveillance cameras, compatible door locks, and other integrated devices. Communicate with the team regarding installation schedules and availability, and guide customers through their new or upgraded system’s physical attributes and backend capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure customer security systems (alarms, CCTV, door locks, and other devices).
• Program, connect, and performance-test security systems.
• Communicate professionally with customers to explain system features and functionality.
• Coordinate with the team on installation schedules and availability.
• Work in varied environments, including attics, crawl spaces, and tight areas.
• Handle 120 Volt electrical components safely.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of alarm industry installation technician experience.
• Knowledge of intrusion detection systems and CCTV.
• General computer skills and familiarity with system programming.
• Ability to adapt to custom-designed systems and changing environments.
• Professional attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working on ladders, in attics, crawl spaces, and tight places.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Z-Wave and Z-Wave devices.

Schedule

Part-time to full-time, based on Oahu.
