About the role
As a Ride YourWay SecureCare Transportation Specialist (STS), you are the heartbeat of our company. We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team of Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Specialists. In this role, you will ensure the safe, secure, and reliable transportation for clients with behavioral health needs. Your primary focus will be to provide a comfortable, supportive, and respectful experience for each individual as you transport them to and from medical facilities, appointments, and other essential destinations.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain vehicles designated for secure non-emergency medical transportation.
- Assist passengers in boarding and exiting vehicles, ensuring their comfort and safety during transit.
- Maintain punctuality by following assigned schedules and routes, ensuring timely arrival at pick-up and drop-off locations.
- Effectively communicate with passengers, healthcare professionals, and dispatchers to coordinate transportation details and address any special requirements.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance or safety concerns promptly. Ensure vehicles are clean and taken proper care of.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times, fostering a positive and supportive environment for passengers.
- Adhere to all relevant transportation regulations, including traffic laws and company policies, ensuring the safety and well-being of passengers.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing passenger needs, concerns, and inquiries with empathy and professionalism.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical examination and pre-employment drug screening in compliance with safety regulations.
- Excellent driving skills and knowledge of local traffic laws and routes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
- Compassionate and patient approach when dealing with individuals with medical needs.
- Physical ability to assist passengers with boarding and exiting vehicles up to 250 lbs.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and the ability to perform routine inspections.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting the privacy of passengers.
