Position Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced Secure Automation Engineer to modernize and strengthen enterprise development tools and services.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop Python-based automation tools to analyze, optimize, and secure enterprise code repositories.
  • Modernize legacy Perl applications by migrating them into modern, supported technologies.
  • Implement and maintain secure transport standards, including SSH certificates and TLS protocols.
  • Utilize AI-assisted coding tools and automated refactoring platforms to improve development efficiency.
  • Enhance application security testing and deployment automation within existing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Perform comprehensive code reviews and champion secure-by-design engineering standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the entire software development lifecycle.
  • Drive continuous improvements across application security and automation infrastructure.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in software engineering and development.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python development and scripting languages.
  • Demonstrated experience building automation tools to analyze, improve, and secure large codebases.
  • Working knowledge of Perl with proven experience in legacy application migration and code modernizations.
  • Hands-on experience implementing secure transport standards, including SSH certificates and TLS.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of CI/CD pipeline automation and DevSecOps principles.
  • Native or bilingual proficiency in the English language.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with secrets management and certificate lifecycle automation.
  • Strong knowledge of OWASP security standards.
  • Hands-on experience with SAST and DAST security testing tools.
  • Proficiency in cross-platform scripting across both Windows and Linux environments.
  • Solid understanding of SQL and database design concepts.
  • Experience working within Agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Familiarity with Jira or similar Agile project management tracking tools.
  • Professional certifications in security, cloud environments, DevSecOps, or automation.
