Section Manager 2 - Fraud
About the role
This position can be located in Columbus, OH, Akron, OH, or Minnetonka, MN.
Responsibilities
- Manages through section supervisors and/or subordinate managers, multiple functions or an area which is comprised of professional and clerical staff.
- Implements new policies and procedures to make the area more efficient and in compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.
- Acts as a liaison with other departments and/or divisions.
- Solves issues that are strategic or compliance related.
- Completes strategic planning and budget for the area.
- Makes sure productivity is monitored, analyzed, and reported to senior management.
- Establishes quality of service level for the area.
- Ensures compliance with regulations regarding national origin, disability, veteran status, or other protected category.
- Manages multiple complex tasks simultaneously, demonstrating proven business-writing skills.
- Provides excellent customer service and resolves complex issues/problems, exhibiting informal/formal leadership, mentoring, and training skills.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Audit, Compliance, Risk Management or Operational Risk.
- In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, 4 additional years of segment-specific or risk related experience may be considered.
- Advanced knowledge of risk management principles and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational, analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communications and the ability to communicate and present requirements and issues clearly and concisely.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build strong partnerships and work collaboratively with all businesses.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity, multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite.
