Secretary Technician Lead - Rehab Services - FT
About the role
The Secretary Technician is responsible for obtaining prior authorizations and identifying pay sources for physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy services. Collaborates with Rehab Director to manage co-pays, monthly billing, and other patient transactions. Competent with all secretary/technician duties, demonstrating ability to float as needed and help with training new employees. Assists with managing rehab office as appropriate in absence of Rehab Director. Takes into consideration patient and visitor needs based on gender, age, cultural differences, and educational needs.

- Ability to deal tactfully and empathetically with patients.
- Adequate initiative and judgment involved in the use of equipment and handling and scheduling of patients.
- Able to schedule patients with minimal conflicts.
- Able to sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Able to use computer keyboard and word processing software.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
