About the role

West-Afrika Mission is seeking new board members to strengthen the team that supports the mission work of our churches in West Africa, active in countries such as Senegal, Burkina Faso, and Morocco.

As a board member of WAM, you will contribute to policy and projects supported by West-Afrika Mission | Verre Naasten. The board has various portfolios covering topics like diaconal projects, evangelism and church development, education and training, and Bible translation. The exact role and tasks can be discussed with the board.

You will prepare decision-making on projects and help shape policy during six board meetings per year. Additionally, there is one annual general meeting for member churches.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on policy-making and implementation for mission projects in West Africa.
• Prepare and participate in decision-making during six annual board meetings.
• Attend one annual general meeting for member churches.
• Contribute to portfolios such as diaconal projects, evangelism, church development, education, training, or Bible translation.

Requirements

• Passion for global mission work.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team.
• Willingness to learn about Africa and its context.
• Availability to commit 2 to 3 hours per week.
• Proficiency in English and French is a plus.
