Secondary Technology Teacher
About the role
You’ll play a key role in planning and delivering engaging instruction across Grades 9–11 in mechanical drafting, mechanical design, and civil and structural engineering through both in-person and live online formats using Zoom, while managing day-to-day classroom responsibilities including assessment, reporting, and student support.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging instruction in mechanical drafting, mechanical design, and civil and structural engineering.
- Use industry-standard software including AutoCAD and Autodesk Fusion 360 to guide students through progressively complex drafting and design projects.
- Culminate in a Grade 11 prototype built using 3D printing technology.
- Instruct other courses such as Primary art (grades 3-6) and Visual Arts 8.
Requirements
- Must be living in the USA and authorized to work here.
- Illinois Teaching Certification.
- Knowledge in AutoCAD & Fusion 360.
- Experience with 3D printing and slicing software preferred.
