Secondary Special Education Teacher for 12:1:1

Secondary Special Education Certification REQUIRED. Secondary Core Subject Area Certification PREFERRED.

About the role

This is a 1.0 FTE Probationary position at an HS 12:1:1 setting starting on September 2026. The starting base salary is competitive and based on OATA Contract guidelines. The expected start date is September 1, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Teach secondary core subject areas to students with special needs in a 12:1:1 setting.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Collaborate with other special education teachers, administrators, and support staff to provide comprehensive educational services.
• Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• Secondary Special Education Certification.
• Secondary Core Subject Area Certification preferred.
• Experience working with students with special needs.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
• At least one year of teaching experience in a secondary setting.
• Knowledge of state and federal special education laws and regulations.
