Secondary School Substitute Teacher
About the role
The Secondary School is seeking experienced classroom teachers available on an on-call basis to serve as substitute teachers for grades 6-12. The ideal candidates will have strong classroom management skills, familiarity with hands-on teaching practices, relevant experience with middle school students, and the ability to teach multiple academic subjects.
Responsibilities
- Teach multiple academic subjects as assigned
- Manage classrooms effectively
- Follow lesson plans provided by classroom teachers
- Work with students on a one-to-one or small group basis
- Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions
Requirements
- Experience teaching, tutoring and/or working with youth is preferred
- Regular and reliable attendance

Competitive compensation is provided for substitute teachers.
Schedule
Short and long term assignments are sporadic during the school year. Substitutes are needed for half day, full day, and extended subbing schedules throughout the school year.
