Secondary Packaging Lead Line Technician

About the Role

Expert-level position responsible for handling major issues with Secondary Packaging machines, leading changeovers, performing major troubleshooting and root cause analysis, and implementing corrective and preventative actions. Capable of controlling multiple lines efficiently to meet or exceed productivity goals.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Supervisor with overseeing Secondary Packaging and cover for the shift Supervisor when absent.
  • Perform additional work duties or responsibilities as required, including cleaning, adjustments, and preventive maintenance on equipment.
  • Troubleshoot problems and assist with maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Set up equipment in the correct configuration for scheduled products and document machine startup settings.
  • Write descriptive reports/explanations in the manufacturing maintenance log book or MBR.
  • Communicate effectively with peers, supervisors, and other Lead Line Technicians.
  • Ensure packaging lines run efficiently and verify all Batch Records include required signatures or initials.
  • Train new hires and personnel involved in cross-training.
  • Perform administrative duties, including personnel scheduling and monitoring production lines.
  • Work interchangeably across all packaging lines and configurations.
  • Adhere to GMPs and hold others accountable for compliance.

Requirements

  • Must pass a drug test.
  • Must speak, write, and read English fluently.
  • Specific expertise, skills, and knowledge gained through education and experience.
  • Ability to take strategic objectives and drive results through effective actions.
  • Willingness to adapt to shifting organizational and business demands.
  • Ability to manage oneself, demonstrate integrity, and remain productive under pressure.
  • Ability to create new products and processes that add value through creative and analytical approaches.

Qualifications

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Industry preferred.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

  • Lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, climbing, reaching, and prolonged standing, sitting, or walking.
  • Good vision, gripping ability, and clear talking and hearing.
  • Required to wear safety glasses, hearing protection, and other protective equipment as necessary.
