Responsibilities
- Perform virtual-only ELA and Math tutoring for K-12 students across the United States with flexible hours and higher pay than most tutoring companies.
- Work with students from grades K-12, providing small group instruction virtually.
- Engage in various engagement opportunities ranging from summer academies to remediation support.
- Commit to a few hours of weekly commitment during weekdays, typically 8AM-10AM ET.
Requirements
- Experience teaching Math or ELA in the classroom.
- Experience teaching in an online environment.
- Working knowledge of Google Classroom and Zoom.
- Teaching lower-level HS math (e.g., Integrated Math 1, ACT prep) or ELA.
- Be available 8AM-10AM ET on weekdays.
- Bonus points for: Experience with remediation, intervention or small group instruction, SPED or ELL teaching experience, Bi-Lingual, AP course experience (any APs), Dedication to advancing equity in schools, Active teaching credential.
Benefits
- Compensation rate is generally $32.00 per hour of tutoring (on a prorated basis) plus a 10% bonus.
- The total amount covers the tutoring session, logging in early, and light preparation.
- Staffing isn't guaranteed, and usually follows school semesters, trimesters or quarters.
- Opportunities to take on supplemental roles within the community, such as interviewing, customer success, working on content, or becoming a mentor teacher.
Pay and Schedule
Pay rate is up to $36/hr, with a minimum of $32.00 per hour of tutoring (on a prorated basis) plus a 10% bonus. Sessions are typically 1 hour long, resulting in a pay of $35.30 per session.

Available 8AM-10AM ET on weekdays.
Qualifications
To be considered, candidates must have a US teaching credential and experience teaching Math or ELA at the secondary level.
Skills
Experience with Google Classroom and Zoom, teaching lower-level HS math (e.g., Integrated Math 1, ACT prep) or ELA, experience with remediation, intervention or small group instruction, SPED or ELL teaching experience, Bi-Lingual, AP course experience (any APs).
