About the Role

Tucker Middle School is seeking a Science Academic Coach who utilizes best practices to increase student achievement. The primary responsibility is to implement, deliver, and promote high academic expectations to all students. This is a one-year position funded through Title I, ending on or before June 30, 2027. The applicant accepting this position must apply for an available position and be recommended for a new role to continue employment with the DeKalb County School District for the 2026-2027 school year.

Responsibilities

• Implement and deliver high academic expectations to all students.
• Promote best practices in science education to increase student achievement.
• Work collaboratively with team members.

Requirements

• Valid Professional Standards Commission approved certificate at level 4 or higher in the specified content area.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
