Second Shift Supervisor

Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the manufacturing team to ensure efficient production processes and adherence to quality standards.
- Plan and schedule production activities, ensuring that production targets are met within the specified timeframes while effectively managing overtime.
- Monitor, maintain and analyze production data, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to optimize productivity and reduce waste.
- Ensure that all manufacturing equipment, including CNC machines and hand tools, are properly maintained and serviced via defined PM activities.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, maintenance and quality control, to resolve production issues and implement process improvements.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the procurement team to ensure the availability of raw materials and components for production.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, enforce safety regulations and promote a culture of safety awareness among the team.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members, identifying areas for improvement and recognizing achievements.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
- 3+ years of experience as a Supervisor or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of lean principles and methodologies.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, assembly, and quality control.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Maintains a sense of urgency with safety, quality and the customer in mind.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in using manufacturing software and systems.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Adaptable and able to adjust to new processes, technologies, or production requirements.
