Second Shift Machinist

About the role

We are Rebo, a company providing interior and exterior automotive and electronics lighting solutions. Our focus includes developing new technologies for electric vehicles, such as charge status indicators and innovative lighting designs.

Responsibilities

• Operate all types of traditional machine shop equipment to repair, maintain, and fabricate tooling, fixtures, and samples in support of manufacturing operations with a heavy emphasis on plastic injection molds.
• Maintain a safe working attitude, follow safety rules, and promote a safe culture throughout the facility.
• Work with little or no supervision.
• Read and interpret blueprint drawings.
• Fabricate parts with a high level of accuracy while holding tight tolerances.
• Perform tool repairs and preventative maintenance at regular intervals.
• Support design and fabrication of jigs and fixtures in support of manufacturing operations.
• Assemble and debug tools and fixtures for production area.

Requirements

• A High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• Five (5) years of experience in a Machine Shop environment.
• Formal education or training in a related technical field.
• Experience in plastic injection molding, mold maintenance/repair, and related manufacturing processes.
• Able to safely set-up and operate conventional vertical milling machines, lathes, surface grinders, vertical EDM and other shop related equipment.

Qualifications

• You have a High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• You have five (5) years of experience in a Machine Shop environment.
• You have formal education or training in a related technical field.
• You have experience in plastic injection molding, mold maintenance/repair, and related manufacturing processes.
• You are able to safely set-up and operate conventional vertical milling machines, lathes, surface grinders, vertical EDM and other shop related equipment.

Skills

• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings.
• High level of accuracy in part fabrication.
• Knowledge of plastic injection molding processes.
• Experience with various machine shop equipment.
