Second Shift Lead (CMH)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Second Shift Lead to oversee daily production activities during the evening shift. This role is responsible for leading production associates, ensuring production goals are met, maintaining quality standards, and supporting a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support production associates during the second shift.
• Ensure daily production goals, quality standards, and deadlines are met.
• Assign work and monitor productivity throughout the shift.
• Support employee training and provide daily coaching.
• Address production issues and escalate equipment or quality concerns as needed.
• Work closely with Maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Ensure materials and workstations are ready for production.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Complete shift reports and communicate important updates to the day shift and Production Management.
• Follow company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong communication and team leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and production reporting.
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends when business needs require.

Preferred Background

• Manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience leading teams on an evening or night shift.
• Experience with production KPIs and labor productivity.
• Leveranufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
