Responsibilities

  • Aid in the preparation and review of the Quarterly and Annual Reports on Form 10-Q/K and oversee the internal and external review for these documents and related releases.
  • Aid in the review of quarterly presentations, call scripts, and earnings releases.
  • Review supporting documentation and analyses to support the financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A disclosures, including disclosure checklists and tie-out binders.
  • Maintain awareness of evolving accounting guidance and provide interpretations of US GAAP.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during the annual year-end audit and interim reviews.
  • Implement and maintain reporting procedures to meet internal control requirements and continuously evaluate financial reporting processes for enhancements.
  • Support month end and year end closing by accurately accounting for various transactions such as debt, intangible assets, goodwill, stock compensation, and equity.
  • Verify and analyze monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and related support schedules.
  • Assist with accounting and integration for acquisitions, divestitures, and other complex accounting events.
  • Support management in completing special projects, ad-hoc reporting, and analysis requests, and perform other tasks as assigned.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience with a public accounting firm with significant exposure to SEC and financial reporting, or at least 6 years of direct SEC financial reporting experience

Skills

  • Ability to work well with others in a high volume, fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter with strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent time management, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Expertise in US GAAP and SEC rules and regulations, with the ability to research and propose positions on complex accounting issues
